Thank you for visiting our campaign web site and allowing me to share with you my vision for the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. Today's tough economic conditions are only one of the issues we face when developing strategies to keep our citizens and businesses safe. While the men and women of your Brevard County Sheriff's Office work diligently everyday to prevent and solve crime, we are still faced with increased levels of Violent Crime, Identity Theft / Fraud, Child Exploitation, and Drug Related Crimes. These and other crimes have the potential to impact each and every one of us, our businesses, and even our county's ability to sustain economic growth.

My plan, if elected as your Sheriff, includes innovative measures for crime prevention and investigation, partnership development with law enforcement agencies and our business community, and controlled spending measures that eliminate any excess spending of the taxpayers' dollars. Historically, law enforcement's answer to combating crime was to throw money and resources at the problem. Today we don't have extra money or resources, so we must be innovative, aggressive, and resourceful in our approach. We must make sure that we stretch every dollar we are given as far as we can and only utilize it where it is truly needed. My plan calls for partnerships like the G.A.M.E.O.V.E.R. ® Task Force, a concept I previously created using combined resources from multiple agencies to focus on a specific crime related problem. With the arrest of over 700 violent offenders, the task force is a clear representation of a partnership that works with limited funding exposure. This same concept can be applied to Economic and Drug Related Crimes by applying existing resources that can be better utilized without any increased cost to the taxpayers and focused partnership development.

As your Sheriff, my job is to prevent you and your family from ever becoming the victim of crime. The first responsibility of government to its citizens is to keep them safe. While solving a crime is vital, preventing that crime from ever occurring is my goal. Crime attacks us every day and, quite frankly, it's time for us to attack crime. Aggressive, innovative, and common sense law enforcement is the key to preventing a crime from happening and someone from becoming crime's next victim.
